Together in Borås

Welcome to an evening filled with community and togetherness.

RFSL Sjuhärad, Gothenburg and Jönköping join forces and invite you to a sparkling evening with a quiz, release party and bar.

Come and meet new people from different places, collaborate, socialize and create new bonds across borders. We start the evening with coffee and open doors.

There will also be a release party for the biography: Fragments of a Life, by Christoffer Lönnquist. Christoffer will be there to talk and read parts of his book.

At 7:00 pm the bar opens. After that the age limit is 18+ and membership in RFSL is a requirement. (You can easily become a member at blimedlem.rfsl.se)

Christoffer Lönnquist’s autobiography “Fragment of a Life” is a strong and courageous story about gender reassignment, identity and the struggle to become oneself.

With raw honesty, Lönnquist shares his life journey from childhood confusion to adulthood’s confrontations with both the legal system and a body that did not reflect his inner reality.  His gender reassignment is centered not only as a medical process, but as a deep existential struggle for freedom, security and belonging.

We follow him through hospital visits, legal obstacles and the dream of becoming a parent – moments filled with pain but also with hope. Through it all, he is carried by the love of those closest to him and an unwavering will to live a life in truth.

“Fragment of a Life” is a moving testimony of what it means to be a transgender person in today’s Sweden – but also a universal story of courage, loss and the healing power of love.
