We live in worrying times. LGBTQ people are being made targets, and once again painted as scapegoats in the political debate. The need for a strong LGBTQ community and safe meeting places is now greater than ever.
Do you want to do something truly meaningful with your time? By choosing to be an active part in building our community, you can make a big difference! Right now we need more volunteers in a few different groups. Where would you contribute best?
Connection!
Connection is our open meeting place for LGBTQ people, which is open every Thursday. All LGBTQ people are welcome here. This activity has been hit hard by reduced funding. Do you want to be part of the staff who ensures that we can continue to stay open every week?
Hbtq-Seniorerna
Hbtq-Seniorerna is our group for LGBTQ people over 60. Hbtq-Seniorerna meet several times a month and have a program packed with fun activities. They are now looking for more people to join the organizing group who want to join and take responsibility for the meetings.
Newcomers Göteborg
Newcomers Göteborg is a social platform and a network for LGBTQI migrants and LGBTQI refugees. They meet up twice a week for social activities, learning and support. Do you want to make a difference and work for an anti-racist community?
BiQuPan
BiQuPan Gothenburg is a membership group for bi-, and pansexuals, and others who are attracted (romanticly or sexually) to people of more than one gender. The group has recently started offering monthly social meetups again, and would need more people who want to run the group and staff the meetings.
Meeting place for rainbow families
Rainbow families is a group for families with children where one or more familymembers are LGBTQI people. The group has been an opportunity for children and adults to meet others in similar family constellations, exchange experiences and play. However, the group is currently dormant due to too few organizers having the time to staff the meetings.
